The King County Department of Community and Human Services (DCHS) is pleased to release this Request for Proposals (RFP) for providing social services for immigrants and refugees in Kent, WA, as described below.
As our region continues to respond to and recover from the mental, physical, and economic impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, this RFP seeks to provide culturally and linguistically appropriate social services to immigrant and refugee families, youth, and children in Kent. This RFP will support programs that provide access to healthy food and promote youth development, early learning, and health and wellness.
Specifically, King County will utilize a portion of its American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding to support one (1) community-based organization (CBO) in Kent, WA that can provide social services to immigrant and refugee families, youth, and children who have been adversely impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Applicants should propose program models that provide a combination of the following:
- Culturally and linguistically attuned vaccine and public health education
- Culturally appropriate food assistance
- Baby essentials

All applicants will be required to submit a Budget (Attachment D1) and Budget Narrative (Attachment D2) using the templates provided in the Library section of this RFP.
