1. All projects must be YOUTH LED under the guidance of an adult advisor. Youth must be involved in filling out and submitting the application, development and execution of the project. Do you understand and agree to this requirement? YNAPP exists so that youth can create and implement neighborhood-based service learning projects of their own design. Youth are project leaders and work towards ways to make changes in their neighborhoods and throughout the community.
2. Do you have at least two youth members (one will serve as the youth team leader) between the ages of 7-18 that will complete the application, develop and implement the project?
3. Do you have an adult advisor (18 years or older) who will support, advise and guide the youth group on their project? **Adult leader cannot be employed by the City of Las Vegas** The adult advisor is not the group leader. The adult advisor's purpose is to support the youth members in their project, assisting in areas where the youth need help.
4. What community need will your project address? If you don't have a project idea yet, consider one of the ideas from this website: https://www.pointsoflight.org/diy-volunteer-projects/ Service - such as collecting supplies for the less fortunate or making care packages. // Improvements - such as murals, gardens and cleanups. // Education - such as peer mentoring and increasing awareness of community health and safety issues.
5. Your project must be completed within the city of Las Vegas limits. Please provide your verified project location address. In order to submit your final application you will also need a signed Location Permission Form. Your application will be rejected if the project does not take place in city of Las Vegas limits. 6. Funding for all projects will become available in the middle of February 2026 upon completion of Group Orientation and remain available through June 1, 2026. Your group is expected to complete your project by August 2026. Will you be able to meet these deadlines? If you answered no, please be prepared to explain why in a follow up email from the YNAPP Program Coordinator.

9. In December 2025, the youth team leader (and/or other youth members) must present a mandatory five-minute presentation to the YNAPP Grant Review Board as part of the grant application process. Do you accept this requirement? Presentations will be held on pre-scheduled dates in the late afternoons and evenings at City Hall, 495 S. Main St. There will be no exceptions to this requirement.

All groups will be notified in November with information regarding their mandatory scheduled YNAPP Grant Review Board Presentation date. Please use the advance notice to arrange for transportation to and from City Hall on your scheduled presentation date. If you have conflicts with the assigned presentation date, respond immediately and do not wait to reschedule.
