Small business grant fund for MORGAN, TOOELE, and WEBER COUNTY (EXCLUDING OGDEN CITY) businesses impacted by Covid-19. Grant funds shall be utilized by businesses who are open or plan to reopen in compliance with State and County Health Orders. These funds are made available by an award from the CARES Act to the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program which requires beneficiaries to meet a Low to Moderate Income (LMI) standard.
The LMI standard can be met in any of the following three ways, 1) The business owner is 80% or less of the Average Median Income (AMI), 2) Business employees are 80% or less AMI, 3) Area that business serves is a LMI area. To see what your county AMI is for your family size, see page 79 of the following link: https://jobs.utah.gov/housing/community/cdbg/documents/cdbgapplication.pdf . We will need documentation of your qualification.
While the counties will attempt to aid as many businesses as possible, the filing of an application is not, nor should it be perceived to be, a guarantee of funding. Applicants should note that there is a set amount appropriated for these grants, and once this budgetary limit has been reached additional applications will not be considered.
Each county will be determining which applicants in their county will receive funding and determine the maximum amount of funding available for each applicant.
