This request is open to organizations that meet the definition of senior centers as described in Section IX., GLOSSARY OF TERMS of this RFP. Small nonprofit, community-based Black, Indigenous, and other Communities of Color-led organizations are encouraged to submit proposals.

Funding will be prioritized for senior centers that have an established history of centering Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC) communities that have been disproportionally impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, including but not limited to BIPOC seniors and/or youth with intersectional identities such as LGBTQ+, individuals with disabilities, and/or immigrants and refugees and that outline a clear plan of how the voices and experiences of these groups are actively informing their proposed program model.

Additional consideration will be given to programs representing communities that have been disproportionally affected by the residual impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic and organizations that allow for geographic diversity among funded organizations.

Eligible applicants must meet the following qualifications:

• Meet the full definition of senior center as described in Section IX., GLOSSARY OF TERMS of this RFP
• Be located in King County and predominately serve seniors who reside in King County
• Demonstrate cultural competence in serving seniors from BIPOC communities
• Submit a timely application within the scope of work of this RFP as outlined in Section II. STRATEGY, C. The Request.
