The District of Columbia (“District” or “DC”) Department of Human Services (DHS) is soliciting grant applications for the Fiscal Year 2026 (FY26) Community Legal Education and Resources Grant (CLEAR) from qualified Community-Based Organizations (CBOs), Private Organizations, Associations, and Law Firms serving the District of Columbia’s community.
Grant Purpose
DHS’s mission is to provide meaningful and equitable services, support, and access to resources for District residents to realize their goals. DHS invites all CBOs, Private Organizations, Associations, and Law Firms that serve these communities and more within the District to apply for this grant to further the work on the funding priorities below.
The grant funds are intended to support legal services to the District’s vulnerable population, including mobilizing pro-bono talent or skilled attorneys and legal professionals to provide legal services, as well as language access services to support legal services provided. The FY26 CLEAR Grant offers one-time grants to organizations applying for the first-time, and multi-year grants to organizations that have been legal services grantees with EOM agencies for at least two fiscal years.
