The City of Mountain View is currently accepting applications for Fiscal Year 2023-24 (July 1, 2023 - June 30, 2024):

  • CDBG & City of Mountain View General Funds for Public Service programs that serve lower income households
  • CDBG fund for Capital Projects for eligible project activities and to implement a minor home repair program

The City of Mountain View is pleased to release its Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) for public services and capital projects. The purpose of these instructions is to assist interested parties (“Applicants”) in completing the NOFA application. Please read the NOFA instructions posted to the City website in its entirety. In case of questions, please see below for contact details:

  • For CDBG applications (Public Service and Capital Projects): Contact Harsha Ramchandani at harsha.ramchandani@mountainview.gov. Please include “NOFA FY2023-2024” in the email subject line. Or call 650-903-6379.
  • For General Fund applications: Contact Parneet Dhindsa at generalfundnonprofit@mountainview.gov. Please include “NOFA FY2023-2024” in the email subject line. Or call 650-903-6301.

Additionally, Applicants must attend the mandatory NOFA application pre-submittal webinar to be held at 9 am on December 16, 2022 or watch the webinar recording (posted on the City website) prior to submitting the NOFA application.

Applications are due no later than 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 17, 2023. Separate applications are required for each activity proposed for funding.

Eligible Activities  [hide this]

An estimated $130,500 is available in funding for CDBG Public Service Activities. Example of eligible activities include but are not limited to: health, recreational and employment services (e.g., job training); services for senior citizens and persons experiencing homelessness; fair housing counseling; education, child care and energy conservation programs; crime prevention and public safety activities and substance abuse services (e.g., counseling and treatment).

The City General Fund allocation of $171,000 supplements the CDBG funding for public services activities and is allocated to human service, educational, cultural, arts, and other programs not eligible for Federal funds.

CDBG funding of $30,000 is available for a Minor Home Repairs program. 

For capital projects, an estimated $746,100 of CDBG funds are available. Examples of activities include

  • Rehabilitation of residential and non-residential structures
  • Relocation and demolition
  • Acquisition of real property
