How do I do this?

2 Select a Program to apply for, then click the Apply button to get started
3 Answer the questions and/or fill in the fields in each tab
4 If necessary, upload any requested documents
5 Submit your application and wait for a decision
6 If you are selected to receive funding, you might be required to submit invoices or reports through your application

TIPS:

Answers are saved automatically when you leave each field.
Turn SPELL-CHECKING on. Your browser probably has it, might as well use it.

As part of pandemic recovery efforts, the City of Fort Collins is launching the Small Business Grants program to help our local small business community address impacts of the COVID-19 health crisis.

Small Business Grants are available to help with three recovery goal areas:

Stabilization (up to $7500)
Technical Assitance (up to $5000)
Workforce Talent & Acquisition (up to $2500)

Applicants may request up to 10,000 in TOTAL funding within the goal areas.

Eligibility

Have a salex tax/business license in good standing with the City of Fort Collins.
Maintain good standing with the Colorado Secretary of State's office, and compliant with all city, state, and federal licensing and taxing authorities.
Make less than $500,000 in revenue per year.
Had to have been in operation since at least November 1, 2019. Have less than 50 employees.
For the Stabilization Grant Only. Show a 15 percent revenue loss due to the pandemic.

Exclusions [hide this]

Exclusions:

Organizations outside of city limits
Corporate owned franchises and/or publicly traded companies
Businesses involved in real-estate investments, multi level marketing, adult entertainment, or firearms.
Businesses owned or operated by employees or officials of the City of Fort Collins.
Nonprofits whose mission is advocacy and do not provide any services.
Nonprofits that already receive annual funding from the city as part of their ongoing operating revenue.
Activities that support a religious purpose.
For the Stabilization grant only: cannot be used for utility bills.

Organizational Exclusions:

Programs, projects, or organizations already receiving funding from the City of Fort Collins
School Districts
Any cannabis related organization due to the funding being Federal.

Funding Requestion Exclusions:

no debt related funding
cannot cover utilites

5. Has your business been negatively affected by the COVID-19 pandemic? Continuing impacts to businesses include reduced revenue from ongoing spikes in COVID cases, increased expenses from supply chain issues, increased salary and hiring costs, and other increases in operating expenses.

6. If you want to apply for the Stabilization grant, you must show a 15 percent revenue loss. A combination of revenue loss and expense increase is acceptable to meet the 15 percent threshold. Please describe your revenue loss briefly and upload documentation in the documents tab. Documentation is not meant to be prohibitive. You can write up a description of the revenue loss, take a picture of your digital system, or provide an income statement. Stabilization grant funds are up to $7500.
