The TU Foundation (TUF) is pleased to announce the continuation of the Towson University Foundation Grant Program with a new round of funding totaling $130,800. This initiative provides funding for one-time grants for exceptional projects led by TU faculty and staff members who are working to achieve an outcome that supports TU’s strategic plan.
Project Submissions
Project submissions should clearly align with objectives within the strategic plan and accomplish one of the following – enhance and expand educational opportunities both in and outside of the classroom; launch a new endeavor to understand and address a community need; or underwrite an emerging need at the university.
The Advancement Committee of the TU Foundation is responsible for reviewing submissions and selecting grant recipients. For additional information about the program, please contact tufgrants@towson.edu.

DETAILS OF SUPPORT
Support granted from the TUF Grant program is intended to initiate promising projects; therefore, priority will be given to new projects. Grant dollars are designed to primarily benefit Towson University students and our student community.
Grant requests must be approved by the Dean of the academic college or Vice President of the division from which the project coordinator resides.
We encourage collaboration among similar projects across colleges to strengthen project impact, maximize resources, and streamline the grant review and awarding process.
Selected projects must utilize all funds by June 30, 2028. Grant funds not utilized will revert to the Foundation. When developing budgets, preference is given for stipends and other expenses which clearly benefit students.
Up to $130,800 in grant funding is available for this grant cycle through the Towson University Foundation Grant Program. The Foundation will typically award a minimum of four grants of up to $25,000 each. The remaining program funds will be used to support additional impactful projects through grants of varying amounts. The Towson University Foundation reserves the right to determine the number and amount of awards based on available funds, demonstrated need, and the quality of applications received.
