THIS APPLICATION IS ONLY FOR PEOPLE WHO LIVE OUTSIDE THE CITY OF DALLAS AND DO NOT HAVE A 752_ _ ZIP CODE!  IF YOU LIVE IN THE CITY OF DALLAS YOU NEED TO USE THE OTHER LINK TO APPLY.  YOU WILL NEED TO DO A NEW APPLICATION EVEN IF YOU PREVIOUSLY APPLIED.

FUNDING FOR OUTSIDE THE CITY OF DALLAS RESIDENTS IS SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY AND WILL ONLY BE REWARDED ON A CASE-BY-CASE BASIS.  WE CAN NOT GUARANTEE ANY FUNDING TO THOSE WHO LIVE OUTSIDE THE CITY OF DALLAS!

HOW TO APPLY:

In the upper right corner click on “New ZoomGrantsTM Account” and create a Zoomgrants login with a valid email address and password.  SAVE YOUR LOGIN INFORMATION SO YOU CAN MAKE CHANGES/CHECK UPDATES ON YOUR APPLICATION.  The email address you use to create your account will be the one that you receive all correspondence regarding your application.  YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR CHECKING THIS EMAIL ADDRESS FOR UPDATES.

Once your account is created you can start your application.  You must answer every question or your application cannot be submitted.  In addition, you must upload all the required documents or your application will not be considered complete.  AN INCOMPLETE APPLICATION WILL NOT BE REVIEWED.  You are able to save and come back to the application at a later time.  To do so, you will need to use your login information to access your application.  YOU CAN ONLY SUBMIT ONE APPLICATION SO DO NOT LOSE YOUR LOGIN INFORMATION.

Your application is only considered complete if you have answered all the questions AND uploaded all required documentation.  Your application will not be reviewed until it is complete.  Once your application is complete, you need to allow up to 7 days for a Resource Center case manager to contact you.

HOUSEHOLDS MUST SHOW THEY ARE UNABLE TO PAY THEIR RENT/UTILITIES BECAUSE OF DIRECT IMPACT FROM COVID-19.  WE ONLY HAVE FUNDS FOR THOSE THAT HAVE BEEN IMPACTED BY COVID-19. 

You are REQUIRED to submit documentation to prove you are unable to pay your rent/utility because of COVID-19 due to at least ONE of the following reasons:

  1. Business Closure/Non-Essential Job Loss – you will be required to submit one of the following documents:
    1. Unemployment documentation with payment ledger
    2. Last paycheck with full pay (pre COVID) and current paycheck with decreased pay (after COVID)
    3. Letter from employer stating loss of job/loss of hours due to COVID
  2. School Closure – you will be required to submit one of the following documents:
    1. Proof of virtual learning platform that contains child’s name
    2. Letter from school stating child is enrolled in virtual learning
    3. School closure email or letter
  3. Self-isolation, self-quarantine, or illness – you will be required to submit one of the following documents:
    1. Proof of positive COVID test
    2. Letter from job stating you were required to be placed in quarentine
    3. Hospital release form stating you were in the hospital due to COVID
    4. Medical paperwork from doctor stating high risk for contracting COVID
    5. Medical paperwork from doctor regarding mental wellness was impacted due to COVID

ASSISTANCE IS SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY OF FUNDS - WE CAN NOT GUARANTEE ANY AWARD FOR THOSE THAT LIVE OUTSIDE THE CITY OF DALLAS 

We are only able to pay via check and all checks will be made payable to the landlord.  We will NOT issue any checks directly to the tenant.  YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR ENSURING YOU PROVIDE CORRECT INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR LANDLORD OR IT WILL DELAY YOUR ASSISTANCE.  You will be notified at the email you provided on your application if and when your check is ready for pick up.  YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR PICKING UP YOUR OWN ASSISTANCE CHECK.
