Starting December 23, 2019, the City of Canton is accepting applications for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME) and the Neighborrhood Revitalization Strategy Areas (NRSA). Please note the agencies will need to submit an application for each proposed project/activity. If applying for Summer Youth programming, please submit individual applications for Summer 2020 and Summer 2021 funding cycles. These applications should be labeled according to the year. Funds for the CDBG and HOME Programs will be available once the City receives its line of credit from HUD. Eligible Applicants - Eligible applicants include governmental agencies, non-profit agencies, and for-profit entities. Requests from individuals will not be accepted. The City of Canton is designated a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Entitlement Community and HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME) Participating Jurisdiction. The objective of the City of Canton's CDBG program is to develop viable neighborhoods by providing decent housing, a suitable living environment, and opportunities to expand economic opportunities, principally for low- and moderate-income persons.
