Workforce Development: Mini Grants is a funding opportunity that supports King County’s small (less than 25 employees) Prenatal to Five, community-based organizations (CBOs), agencies, and early childhood centers working to enhance their workforce development efforts. Small CBOs, agencies, and early childhood centers serving babies and young children, who are interested in enhancing their workforce knowledge and skills in the areas of Healthy Childhood Development, Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health, and Racial Equity are encouraged to apply.
All complete applications that have been submitted by the closing date will be considered. Application will be due on August 11, 2025 at 4pm.
Applicants may request up to $9,999 in their proposed budget. Funds should be aligned with proposed strategies outlined in the application. The amount of funding awarded to each awardee will be determined during the application review. Eligible applicants will be limited to one award per organization. If your organization applied for funding in the first round of the WFD Mini Grants but you did not receive the full $9,999, you may apply again. However, you will be considered only if additional funds are available.
Up to $115,000 will be divided among all awarded projects and is available for the program period tentatively scheduled to begin on or around September 1, 2025 and to end on December 31, 2025.
AMENDMENT: The Additional Insured Endorsement will no longer be required to turn in a complete application. Your organzation will be required to submit if you are selected to receive the award.
