The purpose of this Small Grant opportunity is to support Community-Based Organizations (CBOs) that are current awardees of BSK funds. This RFA seeks to support the infrastructure needed to enhance CBOs' capacity to provide services and programming. This includes the systems, resources, and processes that sustain the key functions of an organization.

Eligible applicants must be a CBO with a current, BSK-funded contract with DCHS or Public Health Seattle-King County. All currently funded BSK providers are eligible and encouraged to apply, and some priority may be given to BSK providers that have been operating for less than five years and/or are expanding services to a new geographic area. 


Restrictions  [hide this]

Items that will not be supported by these funds:

1. Expenses such as payroll, rent, ongoing consumables, utilities, or other indirect costs associated with running the organization.

2. Capital expenses like facility repairs, furniture, or property upkeep.

3. Advocacy work.

4. Capacity building services currently offered through the BSK Capacity Building program. This includes coaching, training, clinics, and workshops on the following topic areas: ESJ, finance, human resources, organizational development, board development, marketing, legal, data and evaluation, needs assessment, and IT support. Awardees may work with their current capacity building consultants to identify projects or infrastructure that can be funded through these Small Grants.
