The City of Elk Grove is now accepting applications for Event Sponsorship Grant (ESG) funding for the 2021-22 fiscal year. This application covers events taking place between July 1, 2021 and June 30, 2022. The purpose of the ESG program is to provide assistance to Elk Grove-based nonprofit organizations that wish to host a special event, virtual or in-person, that benefits the Elk Grove community. Assistance may be provided in the form of direct funding, City facility use, in-kind services, or a combination of all three.
Organizations must submit applications electronically through ZoomGrants no later than 11:59pm on Friday, February 26, 2021. ZoomGrants will automatically close the application process at that time. Applications may only be submitted if complete and all required documents have been uploaded, so allow adequate time for completion and uploading prior to the deadline.
Review the DOCUMENTS tab for the required documents list early in your submission process. Some of the documents may take time to pull together. You will not be able to submit your application unless you have uploaded all the required documents. If your organization does not have a required document please contact City staff for further instructions.
Make sure to SUBMIT the application when you are finished. Once the application is submitted, you will not be able to make changes. You do not need to submit a paper copy of the application.

Application Workshop and Public Meeting Webinar
The City will hold a public meeting and technical assistance webinar to assist applicants and provide members of the public an opportunity to share their thoughts on what types of activities are most needed in Elk Grove. Applicants and members of the public are encouraged to participate in the public webinar held on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at 12:30-2:00pm. To participate please register here.

- Mar 1 – Apr 15, 2021 Review period
- Apr 28, 2021 Funding recommendations presented to City
Council (preliminary awards) - May/June 2021 City Council approves annual budget (final awards)
- July 1, 2021 Funding year begins
