Thank you for your interest in the DSLBD Commercial Waste Compactor Grant.
For your application to be considered, DC-based businesses must provide:
1. Complete answers to all of questions below and in Tab 1 (Business), Tab 2 (Compactor); and
2. Upload supporting documentation in Tab 3 (Documents).
Submission deadline is Friday, September 15, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. or until grant funds are exhausted (whichever comes first).
CNHED, the grants manager, will accept applications on a rolling basis and review applications for eligibility (see below and FAQs on CNHED's website) in the order they are received.
Please note that the subtitle in the “Summary” section of the grant applicant that requests “Organization Information” is referring to the business applying for the Commercial Waste Compactor Grant Program. For the purposes of this application the term “organization” also means or is equal to “the business name” and the “business’s information”
NOTE: The grant funds cannot be used for other installation costs (e.g. electrical, creating a concrete pad), servicing the compactor or collecting and hauling waste.
ELIGIBILITY
1. Business eligibility including: incorporated, licensed (applicant provides in application) and good standing with DCRA and OTR (applicants do not need to provide anything; DSLBD will check with agencies)
2. Equipment acquisition timeline (on/after 6/2/2017 for max award; on or after 10/1/2016 for partial award)
3. Site control (signed lease with property owner)
4. Adequate location (surface, accessible to hauler) and adequate power
5. Serviceable (compactor and maximum load can be serviced by current hauler or contractor with new hauling service)
6. Use a licensed installer
