The National Association for County Community and Economic Development (NACCED), an affiliate of the National Association of Counties (NACo), recognizes the many achievements of America's counties through the Annual Awards of Excellence. We invite eligible applicants to participate in these programs by submitting an innovative, effective, and exemplary activity in the areas of:
- Community Development
- Economic Development
- Homeless Coordination/Assistance
- Affordable Housing
- HOME Investment Partnerships Program
- Planning/Policy/Program Management; and/or
- Innovation
Organizations submitting winning entries will be notified before the 42nd NACCED Annual Community and Economic Development Conference held in Portland, OR, September 10th - 13th. The Awards of Excellence will be presented during the Annual Business & Awards Luncheon where each winning County will receive a plaque recognizing their efforts. Organizations submitting winning entries will be asked to provide 5-10 pictures of the project to be shown during the awards ceremony and added to the NACCED website.
Organizations may submit applications for more than one area listed above, but a separate application must be submitted and only one application per organization is allowable for each area listed above. Additionally, a processing fee of $25 is required for each application submission. For example, one project submitted in two areas would require two application submissions and two processing fees.
It is anticipated that one award will be made in each of the seven areas. The committee reserves the right to move your application to a category other than that to which you applied.
